A few weeks ago I took a trip to Ireland with my girlfriend, her sister and husband. We got a travel deal that included airfare and a hotel in Dublin for our entire stay. (Tip: If I were to do it over again I would have enjoyed hostel-hopping from town to town.) I came back with a misty calm surrounding myself in regards to all the work I left behind, an addiction to Guinness, and a love for a small country that I would love to call home.
Highlights include:
* Hearing live traditional music most nights, with one special night including an irish/chilean jam session.
* Driving through the rain (on the wrong side of the road) to the Cliffs of Moher only to have the clouds disappear as we approached the cliffs.
* Touring through old castles. One abandonded castle on private property, and one around closing time when we had the place to ourselves running around and then getting a history lesson from the janitor.
* Eating traditional food including fish & chips, steak and kidney pie, shepard’s pie.
* Drinking and lounging in countless pubs.
* Running across every intersection because we never knew where the traffic would be coming from.
* The opportunity to get my hands on the euro. Having all that coin money in my wallet got old though.
* Having a picnic lunch in St. Stephens Green in Dublin and hiding our Bulmer’s from the Police. No drinking in the park btw.

Im not a big fan of the place myself. Been living here all my life. Nothing to do but drink and fight, lol. Everything is a complete ripoff :( Hope you had a good time though!
Well we had a great time roaming around, going on adventures, and eating and drinking lots too. If you ever want to trade for a month or two you can come live in Wyoming and I will move out there.
